There are many specific housing features that are initially desired when starting out house hunting. It isn’t long, after looking at a few houses, that certain houses show greater potential for purchase than others. After the list has been narrowed down, sometimes the desired attributes of the houses looked at, start to blend together. Below are some items to consider when deciding which house will be best for purchase.
- If a bedroom, is close to the kitchen, will kitchen noise wake up the person sleeping in the bedroom.
- Is second floor being adequately cooled and heated.
- Check date on hot water heater. Hot water heaters have a life span of only around ten years.
- What will be main entry point for entering the house, front door or garage. Will there be enough storage for umbrellas, coats, and backpacks.
- Is stairwell big enough to fit furniture desired in upstairs or in basement.
- How loud is sound from a living room or family room when trying to sleep in a specific bedroom.
- Are there enough outlets and space in the kitchen for the toaster, coffee machine, and other common kitchen counter appliances
