The web site Houzz.com conducted a survey on bathroom remodeling trends. Tubs, showers and lighting were the biggest trending topics in the survey.
- 54% went for glass enclosed showers in the master bath, and 37% within other bathrooms in the house.
- The glass enclosures may be related to having well lit bathrooms, some were even opting to have lights within shower heads to change the color of the water.
- Only 25% of respondents increased the size of the bathroom.
- 91% went for high-efficiency toilets.
- 1/3 who did install tubs, went with free standing tubs, and 23% went for spa or jetted tubs.
- Double sinks were popular in the master bathroom among people who were 45 and older at 58%.
